IT Infrastructure Library. ITIL is an integrated set of best-practice
recommendations with common definitions and terminology. ITIL covers
areas such as Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management,
Release Management and the Service Desk. ITIL (the IT Infrastructure
Library) is the most widely accepted approach to IT service management
in the world. It is supported by a comprehensive qualifications scheme,
accredited training, and implementation and assessment tools.

The ITSM Foundation course, offered by Bay3000 introduces the attendee
to the fundamentals of IT Service Management as described in the IT
Infrastructure Library and the ten core IT Service Support and Delivery
processes. The course is delivered over a two-and-a-half day period
with classroom lectures, discussion, team exercises and quizzes. A one-hour
certification examination is given at the end of the course. Certification
is through the Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB) or EXIN.
